At 10:00 this morning, interstate roads, roads of state significance and mountain passes are mainly passable, reports the RA Ministry of Emergency Situations.
The Selim mountain pass is closed, and the 2 km sections of the Aghveran-Charentsavan road in Kotayk province, the Berd-Tchambarak road in Tavush province, the inter-community road in Aragatsotn province, the inter-community road of Sevan region, the Upper Getashen-Madina road of Martuni region, the Makenis-Akhpradzor and the Ayrk-Upper Shorzha roads of Vardenis region, as well as the Bagaran-Yervandashat road of Armavir province are closed.
Due to the heavy snowfall and icy roads, the interstate road of Shirak province, all roads of Tavush province, the inter-community road of Martuni region of Gegharkunik province, the inter-community roads of Vardenis region and Tchambarak region are almost impassable, and cleaning is underway.
No bus transportation
According to information provided by the Department of Emergency Situations at the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Georgia, due to heavy snowfall, traffic on the Mtskheta-Stepantsminda-Lars road has been stopped for trailers and buses accommodating more than 30 passengers.
