Moscow authorities, security officials and law-enforcement authorities have isolated and blockaded the "Bolshaya Yakimanka" Avenue and the nearby streets, "Oktyabrsk" Metro and the surrounding area reaching "Bolotni" Square since the morning of February 4. The opposition will hold a rally with the slogan "For Fair Elections" at the square.

Prime Minister Vladimir Putin's supporters will also hold a rally in Moscow with the slogan "We Have Nothing To Lose". Among other rally organizers are the "Yabloko" action participants and Zhirinovsky's supporters.

According to Interfax, dozens of police cars, metal detectors and snow-plowing machines are stationed at those sites as we speak. All other cars have been evacuated, and dozens of police officers are keeping warm at the "Oktyabrsk" metro station.

It is currently 20 degrees in Moscow.

Due to the cold weather, the rally organizers have cut time for the rally and the march.

Opposition rallies with the slogan "For Fair Elections" are also taking place in several cities of Eastern Russia, including Khabarovsk, Magadan and Vladivostok. There are twice as many participants in the rally held in Khabarovsk.

Hundreds of citizens have come out to the street, especially Magadan's supporters. However, the authorities had banned the march.

According to Interfax, there is still no information about penalties.

The rally in the outskirts of Russia lasted two hours.
