The beginning of fall marks the start of the second wave of our movement," announced members of the "We are against the reopening of foreign language schools" movement.
According to the statement, "the authorities envisage so-called public discourse devoted to the issue of foreign language schools, which will most probably be followed by a vote of the infamous drafts at the National Assembly. In addition to that, there are already many "talk shows" few supporters of the draft will try to create a positive attitude before the parliament's ratification of the draft law."
"In this situation, it is very important to maintain resistance and put an end to that dangerous plan. Let me remind that as a result of an unprecedented wave of public protest, the government made serious changes in the draft law, after which one of the two international schools that the president and the prime minister declared as the only reason for the changes refused to make potential investments in Armenia, while the opening a foreign language school in Dilijan was called into question.
Now we need to keep succeeding and reach the final victory. On behalf of the initiating group, from now on, I ask you to be more active, visit the club, take part in the discussions and share your news.
It is more important for us to be active offline as well. There will be a pilgrimage to Oshakan and a march in central Yerevan in the fall," as stated in the statement.
The pilgrimage and the march are scheduled to take place on September 5.
