The streets leading to Yerevan's Republican Square are car-clogged today. Numerous people are crowded at the square waiting for the start of New Year celebrations which will start at 6:00 December 25.
On the night of December 31, at exactly 12:00, Yerevan will be lit up with fireworks from 15 corners of the city.
Numerous shows and events will be organized for children at the square on January 1-12 which will be attended by Snowman and Snow Maiden.
On January 13, a concert will be held at the square featuring Armenian pop singers and ensembles.
The celebrations will last till January 13, 2010.
