The children of Alvard Vermishyan, a resident of Lori's Akori Village, wish to have a cozy house with a TV set and heating.
In the small house the children have to do their lessons under candlelight before twilight.
Alvard Vermishyan shoulders the whole burden of the three children. Ten years ago her husband went abroad in search of better job opportunities. The family has had no news from him ever since.
Alvard's two daughters go to school while the invalid boy, aged 12, stays at home. He needs a major operation which the family cannot afford at present.
Mrs. Alvard has lost every hope from her husband. She thinks he has got married and has a second family. Anyway, she is going to forgive him for the sake of her children if her husband decides to return.
