Pupils of Ararat's Taperakan village have to change their shoes at the entrance of the school building. Every morning they change their muddy shoes with the organizer carefully watching the process. The "law" was put into effect after the renovation of the school's new wing.

Schoolmaster Mushegh Sargsyan says they have an agreement with the parents.

"The school has recently been renovated and pupils change their shoes on stepping the building to keep the parquet clean," says little Grigor who studies in this school.

"We are glad to keep our school clean. On the other hand, our shoes have become a burden for us and we have to fetch them every day," said Mane.

The government allotted 110 million drams for the school renovation.
