On March 17 at 8:40 p.m. Khachik A. (born in 1996) ran over Artyom Haykyan (born in 1966) in front of building #16 located on Mkhitar Heratsi Street of Yerevan in his "Chevrolet" car. Haykyan died on the spot.

The "Chevrolet" belongs to "Arpa Sevan" Company, which belongs to Deputy of the ruling Republican Party Hakob Hakobyan.

Hakob Hakobyan told "A1+" that he was not in the car and the "Arpa Sevan" correspondent, who was also the driver of the "Chevrolet", had told him what happened in detail. According to the driver, a "Jeep" coming at high speed hit the citizen and the latter fell under the car.

Five minutes after the incident, police took the driver to an investigation for drugs and it turned out that the driver was not drunk. According to Hakobyan, he had not even exceeded the speed limit.

The investigation showed the broken windows of the car that ran over the citizen and the traces of paint of the Jeep on Artyom Haykyan's clothes.

Hakob Hakobyan said the car had barely been damaged, but it had to be damaged after such an accident that led to the death of Artyom Haykyan.

There was no information about the Jeep in the summary posted on the website of the Police. In an interview, representatives of the news department of the Police assured that there was no allusion to the Jeep in the information that they received. The rest will be cleared up through examination.

The driver of the "Chevrolet" has already been interrogated and is not under arrest.
