Armenia continues celebrating the 500th anniversary of the first printed Armenian book and the declaration of Yerevan as World Book Capital 2012 by UNESCO. Within the framework of festive events, Granshan 2012 has announced the 5th International Type Design Competition for non-Latin typefaces which is set to take place from June 14 to16. Type designers from all parts of the world are invited to participate in the competition.
During the Granshan conference, a number of exhibitions will take place in the hall of the House of Artists Union on June 14-16. Visitors can see Granshan 2008-2011 awarded works, an exhibition of Lars Harmsen's TypoLyrics works and Armenian TypoLyrics exhibit.
On June 14, the House of Artists Union will host another exhibition ""Love British books" otrgnaised by the RA Ministry of Culture, together with the University of Northampton (UK), the "Girq" Foundation reports.
