"Zharangutyun" (Heritage) party will exercise its right and will put the draft law on "Recognition of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic" during a special discussion at the RA National Assembly on October 5 from 2:30 to 4:00 p.m.
Today the "Zharangutyun" parliamentary faction sent its decision to NA Chairman Hovik Abrahamyan. According to the decision, the RA draft law on "Recognition of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic" by MPs Raffi Hovhannisyan, Styopa Safaryan, Larisa Alaverdyan, Anahit Bakhshyan, Vardan Khachatryan, Armen Martirosyan and Zaruhi Postanjyan has been recognized as special.
According to Article 1 of the draft law, "The Republic of Armenia recognizes the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic".
"According to Articles 104.2 and 35 of the NA Charter, the draft law is included in the agenda of the NA session without a vote and is subject to a special discussion during the second session on the Tuesday of the four-day session to be held from October 4 to 10, that is, October 5."
"Zharangutyun" MPs put the draft law into circulation on October 15, 2009. The discussions of the draft law in the Standing Committee on Foreign Relations appointed by the main headquarters and the inclusion of the issue in the agenda of the NA session had been postponed several times.
