The government decided to open an account for extra budgetary means of the RA National Assembly during the government session today.

According to the government press service, the government took into account the need to secure the circulation of sums in the form of donations for NA capacity development when taking the decision.

Citizens to be held responsible as well

The RA Government gave consent to the package of RA draft laws on "Making a change in the RA Penal Code" and "Making changes in the RA Code on Administrative Legal Violations".

Article 353 of the current RA Penal Code only holds officials responsible for not fulfilling the judicial act and the proposed changes will bring all citizens to justice.

Not against Nikoyan's proposal

The government has no fundamental objection against RA National Assembly deputy Samvel Nikoyan's initiative for a RA draft law on "Making changes in the RA Electoral Code" presented by the order of legislative initiative. The need for adopting the draft law is conditioned by the change in the RA Law on "Statement of physical persons' property and incomes" according to which the RA Law on "Statement of property and incomes of employees of RA state bodies" has lost power since January 1, 2009. The mentioned draft laws will be presented to the RA National Assembly by established order.

Confirmed

The RA Government confirmed the "RA national report presented according to Point 15 (A) of Resolution 5/1 of the UN Human Rights Council" which will be defended in May by the UN working group through interactive discussions between Armenia's delegation and member-countries.

During the session, the government confirmed the "RA third and fourth joint national report on fulfilling the Convention on Children's Rights" of the UN. The government gave consent to the suggestion on signing the treaty on "Scientific and technical cooperation between the Republic of Armenia and the United Arab Emirates".
