The Rule of Law Party (OEK) is determined to score good results in the upcoming City Council elections, Head of the OEK Campaign Headquarters Khachik Harutyunyan told reporters on Friday.
The OEK list is led by Minister of Emergency Situations Armen Yeritsyan and former head of Arabkir district, former Republican Hovhannes Shahinyan.
Khachik Harutyunyan says Shahinyan has extensive experience in management and is quite knowledgeable and his involvement in the OEK list will bring benefit to everyone.
In general, the party is pleased with the work of Incumbent Mayor Taron Margaryan, but ‘they would not run in the elections, if everything was fine in the capital,' Harutyunyan said, expressing his discontent with transport, housing and ongoing construction.
The OEK representative says his party is not participating in the municipal elections to pulverize the opposition's votes. At the same time he added that the OEK signed a coalition agreement with the Republican Party of Armenia (HHK) in connection with presidential elections, and it does spread on municipal elections.
"We are a separate sovereign political force," he concluded.
