Armenia's Court of Criminal Appeals has rejected the appeal of ex-presidential candidate Vardan Sedrakyan.

Lawyer Alexander Sirunyan was disputing the decision of a lower court to choose detention as a preventive measure against Sedrakyan.

On March 5, the National Security Service charged Vardan Sedrakyan with ordering an assassination attempt against Paruyr Hayrikyan, Chairman of the Union of National Self-Determination.
