The parliamentary group of the ruling Republican Party of Armenia (HHK) has given its approval for HAK MP Gagik Jhangiryan's proposal to create an ad hoc committee to look into the March 1, 2008, tragic events in Yerevan. The issue is to be considered at the NA Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs on March 15 but it has not yet been put to the vote.
During the discussions it became clear that the NA Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs will hold its meetings behind closed doors.
