Why doesn't Heritage party leader Raffi Hovannisian call for Serzh Sargsyan's resignation during his rallies?
"People had their say in the February 18 presidential election," Head of the Heritage faction Ruben Hakobyan said on March 1.
During the rallies, people vociferate, "Serzhik, go away!" while Raffi Hovannisian silences them.
"You usually demand the resignation of someone whom you endorse as president," said the Heritage official.
Mr Hakobyan also dismissed the allegations that Raffi Hovannisian does not want to overthrow the authorities.
"You should not urge criminals to go away, you should implead them," said Zaruhi Postanjyan, another lawmaker of the Heritage party.
Ruben Hakobyan added that Raffi Hovannisian is ready to meet Serzh Sargsyan again to discuss the post-election developments.
Head of the Republican faction Galust Sahakyan said that at its Feb. 28 meeting the Political Council of the Republican party did not consider the possibility of a second meeting between Serzh Sargsyan and Raffi Hovannisian.
