The republican faction is not inclined to accept the proposal of Heritage and ARF factions to dissolve the parliament and hold new elections.
The head of the HHK faction of National Assembly Galust Sahakyan considers that dissolution of parliament can have bad consequences for Heritage who requires it. " This time they have taken more than 5 %, after the dissolution what will be? Are they destroying their own party?".
The head of the "Heritage" faction with the ARF member Armen Rustamyan had a meeting with the chairman of the National Assembly with the claim of holding special parliamentary elections within one year, transition to the proportional electoral system within two years, addition of the control levers, constitutional amendments within two years.They came out of the meeting sad and gloomy.
Hovik Abrahamyan did not invite BHK party, which had a reputation of opposition force before the presidential elections. BHK party secretary Naira Zohrabyan is not delighted with the proposal of holding a special election either.
"I do not think that there is any connection between holding special parliamentary elections and post-election developments" ,-he says.
Prosperous Armenia Party is in favor of the transition to 100% proportional system. As of this moment BHK does not have offers yet.
