In its February 25 session, the Central Election Commission declared Serzh Sargsyan the fourth President of Armenia. The seven members of the CEC voted for the decision.

While the CEC was summarizing the results of the February 18 presidential election, a group of citizens were staging a protest outside the CEC building with a demand to annul the ‘rigged' election results.

Meanwhile, CEC Chairman Tigran Mukuchyan announced that the recorded violations did not affect the election outcome.
