Armenia's Central Election Commission is scheduled to summarize the results of the February 18 presidential election in an extraordinary meeting due to be held at 1 p.m. February 25.
Immediately after the sitting, CEC Chairman Tigran Mukuchyan will give a press conference, CEC Press Service reports.
Serzh Sargsyan reportedly won re-election to a second five-year term, according to the preliminary returns released by the Central Election Commission on February 19. The official counts showed Sargsyan with about 59 percent of the vote, enough to win his main challenger, former foreign minister Raffi Hovannisian, who polled about 37 percent of the vote.
