Armenian presidential candidate, chairman of the National Self-Determination Union Paruyr Hayrikyan, does not think that Heritage party leader Raffi Hovannisian can achieve tangible results by rallying people in downtown Yerevan.
Talking to A1+ Mr Hayrikyan described the current situation in one sentence, "Raffi is not in an enviable situation."

Hayrikyan says the situation was predictable for him.

"In fact, I have been out of the game since January 31. I could stand on my feet under the influence of painkillers in order to fight against terrorists," he said.

At present, the chairman of the National Self-Determination Union is in hospital where he was taken after the January 31 assassination attempt. Hayrikyan's health condition is reportedly deteriorating after the shooting attack. Physicians are presently holding a meeting to discuss the possible consequences.
