Andrias Ghukasyan, one of the seven candidates in the Armenian presidential race, has refused the proposal of the Ministry of Health to undergo full medical examination.

Today the Deputy Minister of Health, Hayk Darbinyan, came to the hunger-striker with same proposal. "I urge him to take care of his health in order to avoid health complications," said the deputy minister.

Andrias Ghukasyan says that one of the rfeasons for his refusal is the announcement of Minister of Education and Science Armen Ashotyan who said that Ghukasyan's hunger-strike is like a reality show. "Given the lack of confidence, I cannot accept their support," said Ghukasyan.

The presidential candidate says he will end the strike only on February 20, when the international observers publicize their conclusions on the election results.

Andrias Ghukasyan has not decided yet whether he will participate in the upcoming vote or not. "If I go to the polls, I will vote against Serzh Sargsyan," he said.
