In small countries, like Armenia, monopolies can [with their levers] affect the state policy, members of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation (Dashnaktsutyun) Bureau said on February 11.
Today they presented the results of a survey on monopolies conducted with the support of Hrayr Marukhyan Fund and Friedrich Ebert Foundation.
David Lokyan, a senior member of the ARF Bureau says monopolies reach large sizes in the sector of services. Ara Nranyan, another member of the ARF, says the society seems to have come to terms with the reality
"The economic and political systems seem to be adjusting to the present monopoly system," he said expressing his surprise at public indifference.
"Coming to terms with the situation, or laying down one's hands means crossing one's future and encouraging the ongoing emigration. It means reconciling oneself with the idea that any citizen who wishes to engage in economic activities, is doomed to failure," he said.
