"Electoral Systems Center" NGO calls on presidential candidate Andrias Ghukasyan to end the three-week-long hunger strike saying it is concerned about the possible irreversible damage the strike might cause to the candidate's health.

"As a non-governmental organization entitled to protect human rights and suffrage and to disseminate democratic values we fully endorse and share Ghukasyan's message to the public. We highly appreciate his self-sacrifice, perseverance and determination to make his message audible to people," the MGO said calling political parties, non-governmental organizations and public to join their appeal addressed to the presidential candidate.

Andrias Ghukasian, one of the seven candidates challenging incumbent President Serzh Sargsyan in the February 18 ballot, has been camped outside the National Academy of Sciences building in Yerevan since the start of the presidential campaign on January 21, 2013. He demands that Serzh Sargsyan be barred from seeking re-election. Also, he demands that international observers leave Armenia.
