On February 7, members of Armenian National Congress (HAK) submitted an application with the Ministry of Justice on forming a 28-mmeber party, head of the HAK faction Levon Zurabyan told journalists on Friday.
The inaugural session of the party is slated for March 22 in the in the conference hall of the Government. The attendees are expected to elect the party chairman during the meeting.
The new party is called the Armenian National Congress (HAK).
Zurabyan said twenty-eight people signed under the document, including Levon Ter-Petrosyan, Gagik Jhangiryan, Levon Zurabyan, Zoya Tadevosyan, Vladimir Karapetyan, Arman Musinyan and many others.
No one is included from the People's Party of Armenia (HZhK) and Pan-Armenian National Movement (HHSh), except HHSh Vice-Chairman Samvel Abrahamyan. HAK MPs Nikol Pashinyan and Lyudmila Sargsyan are not included in the list either.
