Presidential candidate Aram Harutyunyan, who went on a one-day hunger strike on Thursday, spent the night in front of the Central Election Commission (CEC).
The leader of the National Accord party demands that the all presidential candidacies withdraw from the race, leaving Serzh Sargsyan alone on the ballot papers.
"It was cold and I did not get a wink of sleep. I was walking around the Christmas tree," he said.
The strike has not affected the candidate's health. "In the morning, CEC CHairman Tigran Mukuchyan inquired about my condition. I said that everything was all right with me," he said.
The CEC is scheduled to discuss the candidate's application of withdrawal at 6.30 p.m.
