Heritage party leader Raffi Hovannisian today responded to the statement of the Minister of Education and Science, who recently wrote on his Facebook account that the presidential candidate had violated the Electoral Code by rallying his supporters at a Yerevan university.
Talking to reporters at the Urbat (Mirror) Club, Raffi Hovannisian today presented the violations committed by the ruling Republican Party of Armenia (HHK) at educational institutions.
"Pedagogues and principals are called to the Municipality and given instructions [directly or indirectly] on how to vote. HHK members are also distributing the party's scarves. I am sure both the incumbent president and his teammate Minister of Education and Science] are aware of these violations. Therefore, I demand that Serzh Sargsyan deliver a report to explain whether he is aware of the [Republican] party's political campaigning in public places.
"If we speak in terms of morality, I think the Minister had better resign because of his fake statements," said Mr Hovannisian.
