One simply needs to join the ranks of the Republican Party of Armenia (HHK) in order to avoid a suicide.
"None of the HHK members will ever attempt to do away with himself," head of the HHK faction Galust Sahakyan said on Jan 16.
However, even Republicans are leaving the country ‘in search of better working conditions.'
Armenia's future is uncertain for political analyst Hmayak Hovhannisyan. "Let me remind you that I am accused of beating," he said. "Do you think that I am capable of beating anyone?"
Mr Hovhannisyan is convinced that the authorities have intimidated Levon Ter-Petrosyan (Leader of the Armenian National Congress) and Gagik Tsaukyan (Leader of the Prosperous Armenia Party).
"Yes, that giant [Gagik Tsarukyan] that keeps lions and stuns everyone with his biceps, was also subjected to terror," he said.
"The climate of fear has been reduced to the minimum," said Republican Lernik Alexanyan. "Why should Tsarukyan nominate his candidacy? Tsarukyan's decision not to run in February's elections misled Ter-Petrosyan," he concluded.
