The Armenian National Congress (HAK) has sustained a shameful defeat because of its wrong policy, Arshak Sadoyan, Executive Director of the National Partnership Foundation, told A1+.
Mr Sadoyan had been asked whether the withdrawal of the main political forces from the election race was a boycott [as was stated by the opposition] or [as the authorities claimed] a defeat of the opposition.
"It is not right to speak on behalf of the opposition. If we are speaking about the HAK and other forces demonstrating a similar stance, I must say that they sustained a disgraceful defeat because of their wrong policy. With regard to the Prosperous Armenia Party (BHK), I must say that the BHK should not be viewed as an oppositional force. As for Heritage Leader Raffi Hovannisian, I do not think that he will be able to beat his challengers in the election though he will take efforts towards victory."
