Armenia's Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian today spoke about his luxurious car at the National Assembly, saying it is ten times more expensive than it is presented. Five years ago, the car cost $40 000-45 000, he said.
When asked to name the ‘German benefactor' who presented the car to the Armenian FM, Mr Nalbandian said, "The car belonged to our embassy in Germany. It was bought in 2005. With the support of our Honorary Consul, five years later, when it was decided to sell the car, they found it expedient to bring the car to Armenia and give it to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs."
"Do you want me to comment on all cheeky and barefaced talks about the car?" he added.
