Deputy Chairwoman of Free Democrats Party Ms. Anush Sedrakyan denied Heritage Party leader Raffi Hovannisian's statement to the effect that after the parliamentary elections the leaders of the two parties should give up their deputy mandates.
"There was no such discussion, and no such decision was taken. There has been no such agreement," she told A1+.
Anush Sedrakyan did not rule out that the two political forces will carry out activities independently of each other.
"The chairman of our party Khachatur Kokobelyan is now out of town, and each time he is out of town recently, certain statements are made behind his back," she noted.
Should one assume from Ms. Sedrakyan's words that Free Democrats and Heritage will put up their own candidates to run in the 2013 presidential election?
"If Raffi Hovannisian is put up as a candidate, we will support him," was the answer.
As regards supporting a single candidate from the opposition field, Anush Sedrakyan said that it depends on who the candidate will be because "some pseudo opposition candidates such as Artashes Geghamyan may appear".
