Deputy of Prosperous Armenia Party (BHK), former Armenian Foreign Minister Vartan Oskanyan was unaware that the Office of Prosecutor General intends to involve him as an accused in the criminal case investigated by the Investigation Department of the National Security Service.
In a telephone conversation with A1+, he said he is not informed that Prosecutor General Aghvan Hovsepyan has filed such an application to the National Assembly.
«All this was unexpected and, naturally, incomprehensible to us, » spokesman for BHK Tigran Urikhanyan said, when commenting on the prosecutor's application to involve BHK deputy Vartan Oskanyan as an accused person.
He said they will probably hold a discussion tomorrow.
It should be reminded that Vartan Oskanyan, who is the founder of Civilitas Foundation, is charged with money laundering.
