Political scientist Sergey Minasyan says the extradition and pardoning of Azeri axe-killer Ramil Safarov consolidated the current status quo in the Karabakh conflict.
"I cannot give reasons for it, but I do not expect any progress in Karabakh talks in foreseeable future. Perhaps, for some reasons, this is viewed as a positive development by the conflicting sides. Armenia and NKR adhere to their stance and will not allow any concessions until the status of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic is determined," Sergey Minasyan told a press conference on Wednesday.
