Nikol Pashinyan, a lawmaker of the opposition Armenian National Congress (HAK), was strolling in Yerevan's Republic Square with his two daughters in the afternoon.
Mr. Pashinyan was in a festive mood. Talking to A1+, he said that the festive day is another opportunity to think over numerous concerns.
"While I have been walking, I have been looking people in the eyes. Unfortunately, I do not find festive moods in them, which greatly upsets me. Holidays are meant for people and not the vice versa. Holidays should find their place in the minds, souls and hearts of people. Unfortunately, we cannot witness it today," he said.
