During the government session, Minister of Finance Vatche Gabrielyan proposed dismissing the head of the Procurement Support Center and his deputes.
Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan accepted the proposal, saying that the head and his deputies will have to submit their resignations.
It should be reminded that at the September 15 consultation, it was announced that according to the conclusion of the Control Service of the Armenian President, a number of phenomena not in line with the requirements and principles of the law on procurement were observed in the procurement system.
With regard to the problem, Serzh Sargsyan expressed dissatisfaction with the work done by all the executives.
Serzh Sargsyan reminded those present that the procurement procedure was decentralized by the law so that the respective minister or the head of a department will bear responsibility and the state will be able to purchase high-quality goods and services at low prices.
