Edgar Ghazaryan, the newly-appointed Republican governor of Armenia's Vayk marz (province), is accompanying Sirekan Babayan, the incumbent Republican mayor of Eghegnadzor city, during campaign rallies.
In one of his campaign speeches, Mr. Ghazaryan overtly criticized his predecessor Sergey Bagratyan, a member of the Prosperous Armenia Party (BHK).
"If you vote for the BHK candidate, you will gain nothing but a garbage truck. Two days before the elections the vehicle decorated with balloons and ribbons will arrive in the city accompanied by some 30 Jeeps of BHK representatives who will sing and dance for you, give the car to you and depart," said Mr. Ghazaryan.
