Nonpartisan pensioner beats his Republican contender in Dsegh village

A nonpartisan candidate beat his Republican challenger in the Armenian village of Dzegh [in Lori marz] in Sunday's elections to local self government bodies.

Norik Kocharyan, 77, garnered 615 votes while the incumbent village head, Republican Garnik Hovsepyan, received 596 votes. The third candidate, Republican Ezras Khachatryan, received 30 votes.
