Hero of the Artsakh War Arkady Ter-Tadevosyan (Commando) believes that Safarov's extradition was planned in advance by Turkey and Azerbaijan.
He said that during a meeting with journalists, noting that Safarov's extradition was part of a plan drawn up in advance. "Safarov has already become a headache for Azerbaijan, they will soon organize his murder and shift the blame onto Armenians".
According to Commando, all this is done in order to raise Aliyev's ratings in Azerbaijani society.
In the opinion of Arkady Ter-Tadevosyan, the extradition of Safarov and the subsequent situation increase the likelihood of a resumption of the Artsakh war. "I already smell gunpowder. The only way out of this situation is that Armenia should be able to calculate Azerbaijan's moves well in advance so as to prevent it from taking such actions in the future".
Asked by A1+ if he is in favor of recognition of Artsakh's independence by Armenia, Commando replied that in his opinion, Armenia should become the first to recognize Artsakh's independence.
"We fought in the Artsakh war to help the people of Artsakh ," Arkady Ter-Tadevosyan stated.
