The ataman of the Kazaks in Shirak region, Colonel Ashot Simonyan, touching upon the rumors that Mayor of Gyumri Vardan Ghukasyan has appealed to the local Kazak organization with the request to join the petition in his defense and that the Kazak organization has been passive since the head of that organization is Samvel Balasanyan's in-law, said there had not been such a thing.
"Vardan Ghukasyan hasn't appealed to our organization with such a request. If he did, he had to appeal to me since I am the head of this organization. However, I haven't seen him," said Simonyan.
