According to "A1+"'s sources, citizens of Gyumri have started a petition in defense of Vardan Ghukasyan and with the demand for free elections.
"A1+" wasn't able to find out who started this petition.
"I'm not aware of who started the petition, but I saw a group of youth on Facebook wanting to organize something like that," Vardan Ghukasyan's press speaker Lilit Aghekyan told "A1+" and continued: "They're not in defense of anybody, but write that they have no sympathy toward any political figure and that the fact that there is no permission to be nominated is simply inadmissible for them".
"A1+" also asked the press speaker how Vardan Ghukasyan assessed the statement of the Republican Party of Armenia (HHK) that the HHK will support the Prosperous Armenia Party's (BHK) candidate Samvel Balasanyan. "You interpret it however you wish. We have nothing to interpret," said the press speaker, mentioning that Vardan Ghukasyan, as always, is in a good mood.
