After today's government session, Minister of Transport and Communication Gagik Beglaryan assured journalists that he wouldn't crack down on cadres in government, even though he has already dismissed press speaker of the former minister Susanna Tonoyan.
The newly appointed Minister of Transport and Communication Gagik Beglaryan assures that he wants to help the government regardless of which sphere he works in.
"Every person has to give an evaluation of how he has worked in the past. If he doesn't change, then it is pointless," said Beglaryan.
After today's government session, Beglaryan tried to do everything possible to dodge journalists' questions, but he changed his mind and returned to the government building. This was the first interview with Gagik Beglaryan after his dismissal from the office of mayor, and the journalists reminded him of the events that followed the concert that world renowned tenor Plácido Domingo gave in Yerevan on 3 December 2010.
"You only remember the bad things. I have a new post and am in a new sphere. Why do you keep blaming Domingo? I have always been content with my fate because most of the time, I have been the one determining my fate."
Beglaryan says he is content with his fate and especially that concert and says he will be a law-abiding official in the office of minister. He denied rumors that he was linked to the issues concerning the residents of the sale zone and added that he had no apartments in the elite buildings.
