"The Ministry of Health belongs to the state and has never been politically affiliated," said Minister of Health Derenik Dumanyan during today's government session, touching upon the question of whether the ministry had received any resignations after the impeachment of the ex-minister who was a member of the Prosperous Armenia Party (BHK).
"I haven't received any appeals for resignation. On the first day, I asked everyone to be in the mood to work. I will assess everyone's work based on their professional capabilities. It doesn't matter to me which party the employee is affiliated with or what his or her social and political views are. The important thing for me is the quality of work," said the minister, adding that the hardest thing for him to do is to approve appeals for dismissal. "I will definitely talk to each employee to find out the reason for dismissal, but I also have to respect each employee's appeal to be dismissed."
