Activist Vardges Gaspari held a protest near the entrance to the National Assembly on Demirchyan Street today to criticize the incident that took place at Harsnakar Restaurant on June 17.
During his protest, Deputy of the Republican Party of Armenia (HHK) Samvel Alexanyan suddenly approached Gaspari and took the sign reading "Ruben Hayrapetyan-Assassin" from his hands. Then, a young man approached Gaspari and pushed him to the ground.
No police officer standing near the entrance to the National Assembly made an attempt to interfere.
At that moment, Vardges Gaspari told one of the police officers that Deputy Samvel Alexanyan's bodyguard had pushed him to the ground and that the deputy had taken the sign away from him.
