Nikol Pashinyan, an MP of the Armenian National Congress (HAK), has expressed his opinion on the money laundering charges against former foreign minister Vartan Oskanian and his Civilitas Foundation.

"I cannot say why the National Security Service (NSS) took interest in Vartan Oskanian but I think that the investigative group looking into the deadly clashes of March 2008 should have become interested in Oskanian much earlier. I am sure that Mr. Oskanian has something to say in connection with Robert Kocahryan's and Serzh Sargsyan's involvement in the March 1 case: he can be considered at worst a witness in the case. With regard to the charges brought against Oskanian, I would not be surprised to learn that the experienced functionary of the criminal regime is involved in money laundering," said Pashinyan.
