Arayik Grigoryan, a deputy candidate running in the May 6 parliamentary candidates under the majoritarian system, received 32,000 votes in Constituency No 18.

He was nominated by the Armenian Revolutionary Federation-Dashnaktsutyun but Serzh Sargsyan also announced that his Republican Party of Armenia (HHK) supports Grigoryan at the electoral district.

"I am not aligned with any party. I want to be a freelance MP in the National Assembly and I am not going to side with any faction," said Arayik Grigoryan.

"I am thankful to the Dashnaktsutyun and President Serzh Sargsyan for supporting my candidacy. I am also grateful to the voters who cast their ballots for me," he said.
