Naira Zohrabyan, a member of the Prosperous Armenia Party (BHK), made a statement regarding her party's alledged involvement in the coalition government.

"This is one of the most frequently discussed topics after the May 6 parliamentary elections. To the knowledge of different political circles, I would like to say on behalf of the BHK that coalition is not an end in itself for us," Zohrabyan said in the statement.

The BHK representative said her party is not interested in receiving ministerial portfolios.

"It does not matter for the BHK whether it gets more or fewer portfolios. We have a more serious problem to settle: we are tasked to form a government that will be able to take up challenges faced by the country, improve the social situation and reform the business environment in the country. All other opinions and analyzes are simply groundless.

"Finally, the results of the May 6 parliamentary election show that the Prosperous Armenia Party enjoys the confidence of large strata of society [about 500,000 of people], which is of high importance for us. We will never do anything to shatter confidence and faith of people."
