The Prosperous Armenia Party (BHK) is in a difficult state," says political scientist Sergey Minasyan. According to the political scientist, the party can't avoid issues within the party, regardless of whether it will form a coalition with the Republican Party of Armenia (HHK) or not.
"Vardan Oskanyan has already announced that he won't join the coalition, if the party decides to join. But if the party decides to become a non-radical opposition due to certain conditions, there is a danger that some members, especially businessmen, will want to step out of the BHK," said Minasyan.
According to him, it depends on Serzh Sargsyan whether the BHK will join the coalition or not and there is one precondition.
"It will be mentioned that Serzh Sargsyan will be the only candidate of the coalition in the upcoming presidential elections."
