The International Committee of the Red Cross is holding talks with the conflicting sides in Syria on ceasefire in order to provide first aid to the victims.
The ICRC is the only international humanitarian organization in Syria that is in collaboration with the Red Half Moon of Syria organization.
The ICRC's negotiations haven't led to any outcome yet.
Syrian law-enforcement bodies have declared that Bashar Al Asad's regime has blockaded Khoms with tanks and other military equipment and will most likely start a large-scale attack today.
Police say more than 12 police officers were killed last March, not counting the opposition members. There is still no information about the number of opposition members that were killed, reports ITAR-TASS.
