"The RA draft law "On the Legal Regime for the State of Emergency" should be legitimized," Deputy of the Republican Party of Armenia Hakob Hakobyan declared during today's press conference.

"That law should have been passed a couple of years ago. In the Constitution, it is stated that there has to be a law on the states of emergency. It's too bad that we didn't pass a law on that earlier," mentioned the deputy.

Leader of the Liberal Democratic Party, representative of the Armenian National Congress Hovhannes Hovhannisyan said Hakob Hakobyan's statement filled him with indignation.

"We didn't pass a law, but we brought the army out to the streets on March 1 and breached the Constitution. No government decides to bring the troops to solve domestic issues in any country," said Hovhannes Hovhannisyan.

The speakers also touched upon the upcoming parliamentary elections. According to Hvohannisyan, "if the authorities try to falsify the elections again, I think this time there will be deeper social upheaval".
The ANC representative declared that the number of people leaving the country is growing due to the wrong policy of the Republican Party of Armenia.

"The party is guided by the principle of saving itself and letting others go down under," said Hovhannisyan and mentioned that the people didn't like the RPA.
