Hayk Gevorgyan to be released

Managing editor of pro-opposition Haykakan Zhamanak daily, Hayk Gevorgyan will be released from Nubarashen penitentiary institution where he was transported on Friday, February 3.

Based on the fact that Gevorgyan had not committed a grave crime and had not been convicted in the past, the prosecutor decided to exercise his right and change Gevorgyan's restraint by releasing him from custody.

The journalist will be released after giving written cognizance not to leave his place of residence.
The activists of the opposition Armenian National Congress who were gathered outside the court headed to Nubarashen prison.
