A special session in the evening?

The National Assembly is not able to start its session due to intervals.

Before the first vote, the deputies of "Heritage" faction asked for a 20-minute break after the government denied the faction's suggestions for the law on "Television and Radio", as head of "Heritage" faction Stepan Safaryan told "A1+".

"We had included many fundamental issues, for instance, providing equal conditions for television stations and Public Television. There were only 1 or 2 insignificant changes and that forced us to protest," Stepan Safaryan told "A1+".

In addition to that, the parliament will put the executive of the government's 2009 budget up for a vote. "Heritage" also noticed many flaws and facts that didn't correspond to reality and that was a reason for complaints.

All deputies were present and the Prime Minister attended the session as well. A group of people standing in front of the National Assembly greeted the deputies with whistles and reproofs. They were protesting against the opening of foreign language schools.

After the first 20-minute break, the "Dashnaktsutyun" faction took a 20-minute break as well because, as the faction members said, they were also disappointed in the government's neglect.

After the next vote, head of the faction Vahan Hovhannisyan suggested voting for the proposal for live broadcast of the entire session.

Chairman of the National Assembly Hovik Abrahamyan promised to discuss the proposal and put it up for a vote. After another vote, "Heritage" deputy Stepan Safaryan demanded the next 20-minute break and the parliament is currently waiting to start the session.

As NA Chairman Hovik Abrahamyan informed, there will be a vote for the issues discussed and it is not excluded that a special session be held in the second half of the day.
