Hardly had the Court of Kentron and Nork-Marash Districts started hearing into the complaint of successors of March 1 victim Tigran Abgaryan when it was announced closed.
Today an incident broke out between the relatives of the March 1 victims and bailiffs in the courtroom. After the court clerk announced that Judge Gagik Khandanyan would not attend the sitting as he was participating in a seminar, people started to complain aloud.
The relatives pulled out the photos of the ten victims, showed to Vahagn Harutyunyan, the head of the Special Investigation Service Investigation Group, and shouted out, "March 1 is not closed and its perpetrators must be punished."
This made the bailiffs furious. "You are in a court. Remove your posters (they meant the photos of the victims)," they shouted elbowing the relatives out of the courtroom.
The relatives were challenging the inactivity of the Special Investigation Service and Office of Prosecutor-General.
For two years, I have been trying to understand the reasons for my son's murder but to no avail. They say he was killed by a random bullet. Who fired that bullet? Who ordered to fire? How did my son appear in the city center at that hour? I want to find the answer to all these questions," said the mother of perished serviceman Tigran Abgaryan.
If Tigran were killed by a Turkish bullet I would know that he was killed when defending his fatherland.
