"Unfortunately 2009 was not a decisive year for the solution of the Karabakh conflict though there were great hopes for it," said President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.
Today all sides engaged in the solution of the problem support the solution within the territorial integrity of the countries. Even Armenia was forced to sign a document which considers the solution of the problem within the territorial integrity of the countries," underlined Ilham Aliyev.
"Of course, today our economic and military power enables us to solve the problem by the military way. But we don't wish a war. We are keen to peaceful solution to the conflict through the negotiations. But at the same time Azerbaijani army and Azerbaijani citizens have always to be ready to liberate our lands from the Armenian "invaders," said the President.
Azerbaijan will not step back from its principal position. We will mobilize all of our opportunities to work hard for the soonest and fair solution of the problem within the interests and territorial wholeness of Azerbaijan, as well as on the basis of international law," added President Aliyev.
